Youth Program Internships

Currently, all internships through Community Action Youth Program are unpaid. Interns may work in the year-round youth program or Trips for Kids mountain biking program or both. Internships may be designed around your area of expertise.

Interns must create and adhere to a weekly work schedule. Schedules are flexible.

Intern duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Help plan and lead group activities
  • Keep database up to date
  • Attend weekly planning meeting with program coordinator
  • Assist with volunteer trainings
  • Organize and complete program evaluations
  • Participate in Community Action Services and Food Bank’s staff meetings, conferences and trainings
  • Assist in recruiting new volunteers
  • Conduct entry interviews for youth and volunteers
  • Create your own project to enhance the program as it grows and develops
  • Promote program goals and activities throughout the community
  • Build business parnterships for the youth program(s)
  • May assist in other leadership or office duties
