Elderly Services
Community Service Specialists are available to assist senior citizens and disabled residents in each area of the county.
They will assess your situation and determine if you are eligible for programs that can help you have a better quality of life.
Referrals will be given to other resources that may be beneficial to each individual
Applications can be taken to qualify a household who is 125% of poverty to receive a one time a year utility benefit through the HEAT Program.
Help can be provided in completing the forms to apply for a Property Tax Abatement, Circuit Breaker, Veterans Abatement, Blind Abatement, Renters Refund or Mobile Home Abatement.
Home visits may be arranged for those who are homebound.
Outreach workers are available in each senior citizen center several times each month to assist those who attend senior citizen activities.
