Food Bank

The Community Action Food Bank is the second largest food bank in Utah. We are the food bank for Utah, Wasatch and Summit Counties. Help your neighbors by giving to the local food drives, holding your own food drive and/or by making a cash donation.

We distribute more than 2.3 million pounds of food annually to thousands of families and many local service organizations. We operate six food pantries located throughout Utah, Wasatch and Summit Counties. We provide food on a regular basis to more than thirty other agencies.

Drop off your donations to Community Action Food Bank at 815 South Freedom Blvd., Provo, Utah. Community Action food pantries are also not equipped to accept large donations of food.

Individual and group volunteers are needed to help with food drives, to sort food, make family food boxes and more.

People who want to help at the food bank during one of our our major community food drives need to read the Food Drive Training Manual.

Information to Join as a Food Distribution Member Agency:
Any organization that wants to partner with the Community Action Food Bank to distribute food from the food bank must be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as 501(c)3 not for profit, charitable organization. They must offer services directly to the ill, needy, or children (under 18 years), free of charge and with no requirement to attend any kind of service. The food must be distributed as an emergency food box or as a meal or snack prepared on site to be consumed on the premises. The application process takes 3-4 weeks and includes a visit to the site where you provide your services.
