We are successful in getting results in the following ways:
Advocacy Program:
Impact positive policy change for low-income families and for our community on national, state and local levels by educating elected officials about poverty issues.
Community Services Program:
Improve the quality of life for elderly and disabled individuals by connecting them to programs and resources through home and community visits.
Family Development Program:
Empower families to become self-reliant by providing short-term assistance to resolve their immediate crisis followed by continued support.
Food Bank Program:
Assist the community to alleviate hunger by collecting and distributing donated food and hygiene items to local pantries, community agencies, churches and senior centers.
Food Pantry Program:
Alleviate hunger by providing eligible families with food boxes, counseling and referrals.
HEAT Program:
Provide eligible households with an annual utility payment to ease the burden of high energy costs while promoting energy conservation.
Home Buyer & Mortgage Counseling Program:
Empower families to obtain long-term home ownership through education and counseling.
Strengthen home ownership by identifying resources, advocating ethical practices and assisting with dispute resolutions.
Youth Program:
Empower youth from low-income families to resist negative peer pressure and become contributing members of the community by providing mentor support and essential skills training.
